ABOUT US
Our Story
Brandon Williams has a BA in Information Technology from Indiana State University. He has worked in the IT field for over 16 years, with 12 years of real estate experience. From a young age, Williams has always been interested in real estate development. Through owning property, he learned how to do things the right way, and to hire the best people to maintain and beautify his properties.
By working with various General Contractors and people in construction, he found very similar issues on most jobs. Projects dealt with timelines, professionalism, communication, bad work, no shows, and dishonesty problems. Over time, he realized that other people were having these same problems. He began to do many things himself, as well as communicate with contractors and workers in ways that got results. Williams was able to utilize his skills as an IT professional to communicate with other people who needed quality work done. His professional skills also enabled him to hire the right people for jobs so work was done in the best way.
Williams then decided to start his own company and become a legitimate construction professional, and B. Williams General Contracting, LLC (BWGC) was born. BWGC has managed the rehabs of 3 flat and single family residential properties, commercial properties, and acquired vacant lots to develop. BWGC is also Licensed, Bonded, and Insured with City of Chicago and Sauk Village.
Working in a corporate environment over the past 16 years, Williams learned that working with developers and business professionals who don’t always speak the same language can be challenging. He learned that communication drives results. He is a strong believer in making people successful in what they do, which in tern makes him successful. In his work, Williams has created numerous PowerPoint presentations, project management documents, budget analyses, and found ways to communicate on many different levels so that people from various background could understand the same goal. Thats what he brings to customers: Communication, Reliability, Results.
